The Agriculture Demonstration Farm Poultry Unit at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN) is a practical training center for students in Agricultural Education and related fields. What Students Do Here:

1. Poultry Management Training
Students learn how to:
– Differentiate between poultry types (broilers, layers, cockerels).
– Apply feeding schedules and monitor feed conversion.
– Maintain hygiene and ventilation in poultry houses.

2. Handle Daily Farm Operations
Students participate in:
– Feeding and watering routines for different age groups.
– Collecting eggs, cleaning cages, and bedding replacement.
– Keeping records of mortality, production rates, and vaccination.

3. Disease Control and Health Monitoring
Students are involved in:
– Vaccination programs, such as for Newcastle or Gumboro.
– Identifying signs of illness and reporting them for treatment.
