EMOTIONS, JOY AND LAUGHTER AS PROF. NDIRIKA CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY AT NOCEN
It was a memorable gathering filled with emotions, joy and laughter as the Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), Engr. Prof. Victor I.O. Ndirika FNIAE, celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, at the College Council Chamber.
The celebration was made even more special by his wife, Prof. Maryann Chinwe Ndirika, who organised a surprise birthday party in his honour. The event attracted members of the College Management and other staff, who joined in celebrating the Provost on his special day.
In her heartfelt birthday message, Prof. Maryann Chinwe Ndirika expressed her love and admiration for her husband, saying:
“On your birthday, I celebrate the man who makes every day special. To the most wonderful man, you fill my heart with love and my life with joy. Happy birthday, love.”
The Acting College Bursar, Dr Gerald Anigbogu, proposed a toast in honour of the Provost, wishing him long life, sound health, greater wisdom, renewed strength, peace of mind and greater accomplishments. He also commended Prof. Victor I.O Ndirika for his purposeful leadership and commitment to the development of the College.
Overwhelmed with emotion and excitement, Prof. Victor I.O Ndirika expressed deep appreciation to his wife for the thoughtful gesture, describing the celebration as a special “surprise package.” He also thanked members of the College Management and staff who took time out of their schedules to celebrate with him, noting that their presence made the occasion truly memorable.
In his vote of thanks, the College Internal Auditor, Mr Linus Mezue, expressed gratitude to Prof. Maryann C. Ndirika for organising the birthday celebration, describing her gesture as worthy of emulation. He further commended the Provost for his guidance, patience and fairness, noting that these qualities had contributed to promoting peace, harmony and excellence within the College community.
The celebration ended on a joyful note, with goodwill messages and warm wishes for the Provost’s continued good health, wisdom, strength and greater achievements in service to NOCEN and the education sector.
