Vicilook Founder Pays Courtesy Visit to NOCEN Provost, Renews Partnership for Enhanced Digital Visibility, Connectivity and Innovation

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vicilook, Mr. Dickson Cliff Okechukwu, paid a courtesy visit to the Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), Engr. Prof. Victor I. O. Ndirika, FNIAE, to strengthen the existing partnership between the College and Vicilook in advancing digital visibility, institutional connectivity, and technological innovation.

During the meeting, Mr. Okechukwu presented the latest innovations developed by Vicilook to support higher education institutions in their digital transformation journey. He explained that the Vicilook platform is designed to improve campus visibility and institutional efficiency through solutions such as Campus Xplorer, Academic Office Pages, the Digital Yearbook, ViciChat, ViciClocker (Clock In & Clock Out), and other smart digital tools that enhance administration, communication, and public engagement.

A major highlight of the visit was the introduction of ViciChat, an innovative GPS and satellite-based campus communication platform designed exclusively for members of the campus community. Unlike conventional messaging applications, ViciChat uses location-aware technology to connect only students, staff, alumni, departments, and authorised visitors who are physically within the geographical perimeter of the NOCEN campus. This creates a secure, campus-exclusive digital network where users can communicate seamlessly with one another.

The platform enables members of the campus community to exchange instant messages, share documents, images, notices, academic materials, and other resources among peers and groups in real time. With End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) protecting all communications, ViciChat ensures that conversations and content remain private, secure, and accessible only to the intended users. The platform is expected to revolutionize campus connectivity by fostering collaboration, improving information dissemination, strengthening academic and administrative interactions, and building a more connected, secure, and vibrant campus community.

Mr. Okechukwu also demonstrated the capabilities of ViciClocker, Vicilook’s digital attendance and workforce management solution. The system allows staff to clock in and clock out electronically, providing an efficient way to monitor attendance, improve punctuality, promote accountability, and enhance productivity across the institution. The technology is expected to support NOCEN’s commitment to improved work ethics and operational excellence.

In addition, the Vicilook Founder introduced the newly established Vicilook Academy, an initiative aimed at equipping graduates and students with practical digital skills needed to contribute to community digital transformation. Through the Academy, graduates who wish to work with Vicilook as Community Vicilookers will receive training to digitize their local communities using Vicilook’s innovative tools and applications. The programme also provides opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience during school breaks while contributing to digital development within their communities.

Responding, the Provost, Engr. Prof. Victor I. O. Ndirika, FNIAE, commended Vicilook for its innovative contributions to education and institutional development. He acknowledged the significance of the digital solutions in enhancing NOCEN’s visibility, improving communication, and modernizing administrative processes.

The Provost further announced the College’s decision to adopt and commence the implementation of ViciChat and ViciClocker, noting that the technologies will significantly improve campus communication, staff productivity, and service delivery. He also welcomed the establishment of the Vicilook Academy, describing it as a timely initiative that will empower students and graduates with relevant digital skills while creating employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

He emphasized that the College’s commitment to embracing digital innovation aligns with the vision of the Anambra State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, whose administration continues to champion technology-driven governance, innovation, and digital transformation across the state.

The renewed partnership between NOCEN and Vicilook is expected to deepen the College’s digital transformation, expand its global online visibility, improve institutional efficiency, strengthen campus connectivity, and position NOCEN as one of Nigeria’s leading smart and digitally enabled colleges of education.
