It was a joyful moment as the Provost, Prof. Victor I.O. Ndirika, FNIAE, received his colleagues before his appointment as NOCEN Provost, from the Department of Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, in his office on Tuesday 21st July 2026.

The deligation was led by the Head of Department, Dr. Nwachukwu Chike Pius and some Professors in the department.
During the courtesy call, the HOD, Dr. Nwachukwu thanked the Provost for warmly recieving them, he also noted that NOCEN is a strong educational base for training teachers in Anambra State.

Prof. Nwajinka Charles Obiora congratulated the Provost for his appointment and also prayed for God’s guidance throughout his tenure. Prof. Ifeanyi Edwin Umeghalu acknowledged the Provost impact to the department during his work days. While Prof. Desmond Okechukwu Amaefule also thanked him for establishing a departmental journal (UJABE), which he described as a legacy project.

In his speech, the Provost, Prof V.I.O. Ndirika, FNIAE, thanked the deligation for their show of love during his stay as a staff in the department. He also appreciated His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for finding him worthy for the appointment.

In her vote of thanks, Dr. Ogbuagu Nneka thanked the Provost for always playing a father role to them and solicits for him to keep answering the department at any point of call.

The highlight of the visit, was the presentation of a picture portrait to the Provost.
