Dr. Nneka Gertrude Nwaka (PhD) is a distinguished Chief Lecturer (Reader) in the Department of Educational Foundations and Administration at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra State, Nigeria. She holds a PhD and M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Planning from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
With over four decades of experience in teaching, educational administration, research, academic leadership, and teacher development, Dr. Nwaka has made significant contributions to educational policy, school administration, quality assurance, educational leadership, and teacher education in Nigeria.
She has served in several strategic academic and administrative positions, including Head of the Department of Educational Foundations and Administration, Dean of the School of General Education, Director of the Professional Diploma in Education Programme, and currently serves as the Director of the College Examination Directorate at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.
Dr. Nwaka has authored and co-authored more than one hundred scholarly publications comprising books, book chapters, peer-reviewed national and international journal articles, conference papers, and educational magazine publications. Her research focuses on educational leadership, school effectiveness, educational planning, classroom management, teacher motivation, quality assurance, educational technology, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational administration.
She has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, participated in National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) accreditation exercises, served as a resource person in several national educational development programmes, and presented academic papers at conferences across Nigeria and internationally.
Her dedication to excellence has earned her several professional recognitions, including the Nigeria’s Best PhD Thesis Award, and she is an active member and Fellow of numerous national and international professional organizations dedicated to educational administration, policy development, and teacher education.
