Remark by the Staff Adviser, Dr D. U . Onu
Great Lions and Lionesses,
On Behalf of the Department of Psychology, University of Nigeria, I want to say A BIG THANK YOU to God Almighty for your successful graduation as B.Sc holders from our highly esteemed department. Despite the delays in your academic calendar occasioned by the nationwide strikes of the Academic Staff Union of the Universities (ASUU) and the non teaching staffs of the universities and COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, I make bold to say that you are among the most privileged set of students that our department have produced in the recent time. This is because you passed through the department at the time that the department, more than ever, is blessed with global high flying scholars as her teaching staffs who have also impacted so much in you as reflected in your sound academic records.
​May I therefore remind you of the popular saying that ‘to whom much is given, much is expected’. As we unveil you to Nigeria and the entire global community, you are expected therefore, to deploy the psychological skills you have acquired in such a manner that will always result in positive social change.
