The spirit of culture and tradition was alive in Awkuzu as the community celebrated its annual New Yam Festival with pomp and pageantry.
The Deputy Director of Works and Services, Engr. Nnamdi Onyili, and the SUCCEON Chairman, Chioma Obi, joined the Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, as she pays homage to the traditional ruler of Awkuzu, His Royal Majesty, HRM Igwe Prof. Sir Charles Anikweze (Agbalanze).
The event was marked by colorful displays of cultural heritage, unity, and thanksgiving to God for a bountiful harvest. The presence of the College leadership further strengthened the bond between the institution and the host communities, reaffirming the importance of education, culture, and mutual respect in societal growth.
