Prof. Mefoh is an award-winning scholar, his Doctoral thesis won both the Faculty and the Vice Chancellor’s Postgraduate Prizes for the best overall PhD thesis at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka for 2008/2009 academic session. He had previously won the Departmental Prize for the best graduating student in the Department of Psychology, University of Nigeria, Nsukka for 1992/1993 academic session.

Prof. Mefoh is a Fellow of the Nigerian Psychological Association (NPA), and served as the Association’s National Vice President between 2011 and 2017.
