ADVANCING DIGITAL EXCELLENCE AT NOCEN
The Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, has reaffirmed her commitment to positioning the College to produce digitally competent, future-ready teachers in Nigeria.
This commitment was made during the completion of the E-Don Sim Pro Software and QR Interactive Board training held on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The training was sponsored by the TETFund 2025 Zonal Intervention.
In her remarks, Dr. Anyadiegwu emphasized the need to leverage technology to enhance teaching and learning. She stated:
“We need to upscale our knowledge and skills to remain relevant and become better teachers. Technology helps teachers spend less time on paperwork and more time on learning for professional development, while students engage in critical thinking, collaboration, and digital literacy.”
The programme, which took place at the College’s Smart Teaching and Learning Laboratory, hosted academic staff from all departments, ICT personnel, and students. Participants engaged in hands-on simulations, mastering real-time digital annotation and strategic learning modules.
Dr. Amaka Okafor, the Coordinator, acknowledged Dr. Anyadiegwu’s efforts in aligning NOCEN fully with the Anambra State Government’s Smart Education Reform under the visionary leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, CFR.
She further stated:
“By equipping our staff with these 21st-century tools, we are ensuring that our pedagogical standards remain at the global forefront. A huge thank you to the College Management and TETFund for making this vision reality!”
