On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, received the Executive members of the Nsugbe Development Union (NDU), led by the President General(PG), Sir Nnamdi Okeke (KSM).

In his address, Sir Okeke commended the Provost for her inclusive leadership, commitment, and dedication to the growth of the institution over the past two years. He expressed his administration’s desire to provide support systems and human resources, as well as to collaborate with the College management on infrastructure projects to ensure mutual and sustainable development. In his words: “The provision of security and safety for the college community is on our priority list.”

Dr. Anyadiegwu appreciated their visit and their proactive ideas for engagement with the College. She urged the President General to support the institution’s security and environmental initiatives, which would bring developmental impact to the College community’s social and physical environment. She highlighted key challenges affecting the College, notably:

– Security issues within and around the campus
– Encroachment at the first gate
– Trading activities
– Environmental sanitation concerns, particularly the presence of refuse dumps along the road leading to the College

She further requested engagement with Nsugbe indigenes on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives to accelerate infrastructural development in the College.

The visit ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing commitment to sustained collaboration for the overall development, safety, and environmental well-being of the College and the community at large.

The vote of thanks was delivered by the College Acting Bursar, Mr. Toney Aniebo who appreciated the Town Union for their willingness to work with the College Management. Mr Aniebo expressed optimism that the collaboration between the College and the Town Union will definitely bear good fruits.
