Anakyh Events and Comfort Centre Strengthens Support for NOCEN Students

As part of ongoing efforts to deepen stakeholder engagement and student support at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), the Provost, Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, on Thursday, 19th February 2026, received the Chairman of Anakyh Events and Comfort Centre, Ichie Iloka Igwemezie, on a courtesy visit to the College with the Face of Anakyh delegation.

During the visit, Ichie Iloka reaffirmed the long-standing commitment of Anakyh Events, through the Face of Anakyh Nigeria platform, to youth empowerment and student development, with particular emphasis on students of NOCEN and the Nsugbe community.

He noted that over the past ten years, the initiative has consistently supported NOCEN students with financial assistance, and opportunities for personal growth, mentorship, and public recognition.

Responding, the Provost commended the sustained intervention of Anakyh Events, describing it as a valuable complement to the College’s mission of widening access to education and supporting indigent but deserving students. She emphasized that such partnerships contribute meaningfully to academic excellence and student motivation, and called on other well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to emulate this gesture in support of education.

In a significant milestone marking the 10th edition of the initiative, Anakyh Events announced the donation of a ₦250,000 cash award for the Best Graduating Student of NOCEN for the 2025/2026 academic session. This award is aimed at rewarding academic excellence and reinforcing the College’s culture of merit, diligence, and scholarly achievement.

Through this landmark initiative, NOCEN continues to benefit from strategic partnerships that enhance student welfare, promote excellence, and strengthen the College’s role as a hub for teacher education and youth development in Anambra State and beyond.
