UDEMEZUE’S REVELATIONS SPARK OUTRAGE AS QUESTIONS EMERGE OVER LATE ANAMBRA LAWMAKER’S DEATH

Anambra politics has been thrown into fresh turmoil after Hon. Udemezue openly declared his constituency allowance and exposed alleged corruption within the system.

On Friday, a Facebook post by APGA Initiative Forum (AIF Media) claimed that Udemezue linked the mysterious death of the late lawmaker, Justice Azuka, to a deeper political plot.

According to the post, Azuka had been entangled in an impeachment scheme targeting both the Speaker and the Governor.

It alleged that on December 24, 2024, Azuka was deceived into coming to Awka under the pretext of receiving Christmas rice—a trip that ended in tragedy.

The shocking post asked: “Is this a state-sponsored killing? What exactly is happening in Anambra State? Bikonu, I am traumatised and still in disbelief.”

Justice Azuka, a Labour Party stalwart, had only just reclaimed his mandate through a court ruling that overturned the earlier victory of PDP’s Douglas Egbuna in the 2023 election.

Sadly, after being abducted at gunpoint in a lightning-fast operation along Ugwunaobankpa Road, his decomposed remains were later discovered in February by a joint security team near the 2nd Niger Bridge.

Since Udemezue’s disclosures, civil rights groups and social media users have condemned what they see as attempts to intimidate him.

Civic organisation MonitNG urged Governor Charles Soludo to ensure the lawmaker’s protection, arguing that his transparency reflects true democratic accountability—an act that should be applauded, not punished.
