OUTRAGE AS ARMED VIGILANTES VIOLENTLY ASSAULT CORPERS IN ANAMBRA

A viral video showing armed men, believed to be members of Operation Udo Ga-Achi—popularly called the Agunechemba Vigilante Group—storming a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) lodge in Anambra State and brutalizing corps members.

The shocking footage, by the Haven 360 Foundation on Facebook, captured scenes of the vigilantes accusing the corpers of internet fraud, despite the young graduates displaying their NYSC identification cards and uniforms.

One of the victims, Jennifer Edema Elohor, bore the brunt of the assault. She was viciously beaten, stripped naked, and left bloodied in an ordeal that has since provoked nationwide outrage.

In its statement, the foundation condemned the incident as a gross abuse of power and a violation of basic human rights. It further revealed that the corps members were subjected to degrading insults, threats of sexual abuse, and other dehumanizing treatment.
