KOGI GOVERNMENT WARNS SUSPENDED SENATOR AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN, HOLDS HER RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY UNREST

The Kogi State Government has issued a stern notice to suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, holding her responsible for any disruption that may arise due to her activities.

This warning came in response to her homecoming rally on Tuesday, which she organized despite a state-imposed restriction on political gatherings and processions.

GOVERNMENT ACCUSES SENATOR OF INCITING TENSION

In a statement, Fanwo accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of fueling tension in Kogi Central Senatorial District. He dismissed her claims against key political figures as “irresponsible, baseless, and intended to mislead.”

The government refuted her assertion that Senate President Godswill Akpabio, former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello, and the current Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, were conspiring against her.

Earlier, Akpoti-Uduaghan had publicly stated that if she were harmed, Ododo, Bello, and Akpabio should be held accountable.

STATE REJECTS ALLEGATIONS, CALLS IT A PLOY FOR PUBLIC SYMPATHY

The state government rejected her claims, arguing that she was deliberately spreading misinformation to gain public support.

“This is yet another deliberate and deceptive move by a habitual fabricator and skilled strategist to sway public opinion, create unrest, and present herself as a target of political persecution after knowingly disregarding the government’s directive against political gatherings,” Fanwo declared.

The government further alleged that her return to Kogi Central was a calculated effort to instigate disorder.

AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN ACCUSED OF VIOLATING SECURITY MEASURES

“We will not allow any part of the state to be plunged into chaos or put innocent lives at risk due to the reckless ambitions of a suspended politician,” the statement warned.

also asserted that Akpoti-Uduaghan later erased the controversial Facebook post after realizing the possible repercussions.

However, he claimed the government had already documented evidence of the post.

The government went on to criticize her for what it described as a persistent pattern of defying regulations, labeling her a “threat to public safety.”

KOGI GOVERNMENT VOWS TO MAINTAIN PEACE AND ORDER

The statement accused her of willfully disrupting peace and disregarding security measures set in place to prevent unrest.

“She intentionally disobeyed the government’s prohibition on political rallies, which was implemented to ensure stability.

.

“Instead of complying, she deliberately instigated turmoil, showing complete disregard for the security and well-being of the people,” Fanwo remarked.

Additionally, the government rejected her allegations against Governor Ododo and other prominent figures, calling them an attempt to fabricate controversy.

“She has once again demonstrated her unwillingness to follow rules and respect the law,” the statement continued.

Reaffirming its stance, the Kogi State Government emphasized that no individual, regardless of position, would be allowed to disturb public peace without facing consequences.

“The people of Kogi and Nigerians as a whole should recognize her deceptive tactics and reject her attempts to manipulate public perception with false narratives,” the statement noted
