POSTER PROBLEMS: ENUGU STATE CRACKS DOWN ON UNAUTHORIZED ADVERTISING
.
In a bid to restore sanity to its streets, the Enugu State government has introduced a ban on the unauthorized posting of posters in public and private spaces. From now on, anyone looking to display posters will need to get written approval from the Enugu State Structures for Signages and Advertisement Agency (ENSSAA) first.
.
THE RULES ARE CLEAR
The new rule applies to everyone, including political parties, churches, schools, and businesses. ENSSAA General Manager, Frank Aninwike, made it clear that the agency won’t tolerate the defacing of outdoor surfaces and spaces anymore.
.
BREAK THE RULES, PAY THE PRICE
Anyone caught violating this rule will face a hefty fine of up to N50 million. This ban is backed by the ENSSAA Law of 2016, which regulates the posting and display of posters in public and private areas.
.
GET APPROVAL, AVOID TROUBLE
So, if you’re planning to post any flyers or posters in Enugu State, make sure to get the necessary approval from ENSSAA first to avoid any trouble. It’s a small price to pay for keeping the streets of Enugu State clean and beautiful.
