The incident occurred on March 1, 2025, near Government Girls College in Bauchi, during a dispute over food preparations for Ramadan. What started as a domestic disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting in Isah striking his wife with a cane.

Wasila Abdullahi, a young wife with her whole life ahead of her, was rushed to ATBU Teaching Hospital after collapsing from the assault. Sadly, medical personnel confirmed her death, leaving behind a trail of grief and shock.
