VICE PRESIDENT SHETTIMA CALLS FOR URGENT ACTION AGAINST MALNUTRITION IN NIGERI

Vice President Kashim Shettima is calling on state governors, ministers, local government chairmen, and other stakeholders, including the private sector, to take immediate action against malnutrition in Nigeria. He emphasized that the consequences of malnutrition extend beyond the health sector, affecting productivity, learning, and national growth.

Shettima launched the Nutrition 774 Initiative at the 148th National Economic Council meeting, stressing that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu considers it a national priority. The initiative aims to provide critical nutrition support to mothers and children across all communities, with a focus on grassroots impact.
