
ANAMBRA FLOOD ALERT: COMMUNITIES BRACE FOR HEAVY RAINS AS NIMET ISSUES WARNING
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a flood alert for several parts of Anambra State, warning of impending heavy rains that could lead to severe flooding. Areas most at risk include Onitsha, Ogbaru, and parts of Awka North.

Governor Charles Soludo has instructed emergency response teams to be on high alert and urged residents in flood-prone areas to relocate temporarily. Efforts are also underway to clear blocked drainage channels to reduce the risk of overflow.
