Comrade Nkem Silas, speaking on behalf of the Students Union Government, emphasized that the renaming decision would have a profound psychological impact on the students. The students’ union is planning to write a formal letter to the Federal Ministry of Education, rejecting the name change and urging the government to reconsider its decision.
