There are two kinds of fat tissues, the white adipose tissues (WAT) and the brown/beige adipose tissues (BAT). The WAT is by far greater in quantity and distributed all over the body including at the periphery of internal organs in the stomach.

WAT produces a lot of the hormone leptin which in turn determines the quantity of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) produced by the pituitary gland. The FSH stimulates the female ovaries to cause growth of eggs and production of estrogen.

Excess FSH stimulation is undesirable and distorts the hormonal balance of a woman, leading to infertility.

Women who are trying to conceive are advised to maintain a healthy weight and get rid of excess stomach fat (big tummy).
