BLOODSHED IN BENUE: 13 LIVES LOST IN DEADLY HERDSMEN ATTACK

A dark cloud of terror descended upon Azege settlement in Benue State on Sunday morning, leaving a trail of death and destruction in its wake. Suspected herdsmen, armed to the teeth with sophisticated weapons, unleashed a coordinated and brutal attack on unsuspecting residents, claiming the lives of 13 innocent people.

A REIGN OF TERROR

The attack, which occurred at the crack of dawn, caught the residents off guard as they prepared for morning church services. The herdsmen, with no regard for human life, opened fire on harmless villagers, including women and children, leaving a scene of utter devastation in their wake.

DESTRUCTION AND DESOLATION

The assault on Azege settlement was not limited to the loss of human life. The attackers also engaged in arson, setting fire to homes and farmlands, leaving the community in ruins. The destruction of crops and farmlands has also left the residents facing an uncertain future.
