FINAL FAREWELL TO SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH

The community of Nnewi, Anambra State, bid a tearful adieu to the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who represented Anambra South. The senator’s remains were interred in his compound, surrounded by mourners who gathered to pay their last respects.

TRIBUTES POUR IN FOR THE LATE SENATOR

The funeral ceremony was attended by a multitude of dignitaries, including the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, former governor, Mr Peter Obi, and a former senator, Mrs Uche Ekwunife. Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Rt Rev Peter Cardinal Ebere Okpaleke, delivered a homily that highlighted the importance of living a life of service and compassion, as exemplified by the late senator.

Governor Soludo reflected on his last encounter with Senator Ubah, describing his passing as a shocking and unexpected loss. Former senator Uche Ekwunife eulogized the late senator, praising his commitment to youth development and his unwavering kindness.

The burial ceremony was conducted under tight security, following threats from separatist elements. However, the event remained a poignant celebration of Senator Ubah’s life and legacy, as mourners gathered to honor his memory.
