NAFDAC HAS INVESTIGATED AND CONFIRMED THAT PROPHET JEREMIAH OMOTO FUFEYIN’S MIRACLE WATER IS UNVERIFIED AND UNSAFE

NAFDAC has warned the public about the operations of the faith-based organisation in Delta State and asked them to cease purchasing miracle products.

Prof. Moji Adeyeye, the Director-General of NAFDAC, stated in a statement released yesterday that the church offers a range of “miracle waters” and soaps that it says have healing and miraculous properties, including the ability to cure infertility.

Adeyeye disclosed that NAFDAC had been inundated with complaints from worried residents concerning the actions of a prominent Pastor prophet, Jeremiah Omoto.

The petitions, according to her, raised questions regarding marketing and selling a number of unproven miracle items, such as “The Miracle Water from the Pool of Bethsaida” and “Miracle & Healing Water.” Allegedly, the products were advertised as having amazing medicinal properties, including the capacity to assist women in becoming pregnant with twins.

According to reports, the ministry stated that the items were registered with NAFDAC, which prompted multiple people to visit the agency’s headquarters to confirm the information.

According to Prof. Adeyeye, NAFDAC’s inquiry revealed that none of the goods had registrations.

The Director-General said that in August 2024, the NAFDAC coordinator for Delta State visited Christ MercyLand Ministries in response to pleas and paid N3,000 for one of the miracle waters.

Despite a purchase receipt, she claimed that when ministry representatives were questioned, they denied any role in the products’ production or sale.

They allegedly declined to assist with more enquiries, postponing answers and skipping meetings with NAFDAC representatives.

The DG stated that additional research showed that the ministry had signed a production deal with Globod Table Water, a water company located in the Delta, to produce the goods without informing NAFDAC, which was against regulatory requirements.

She said that as a result, NAFDAC closed the Globod Table Water plant for helping to produce the miracle items illegally using a fictitious NAFDAC registration number.
