FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS WITHDRAWN IT’S PROPOSAL TO SUBSIDISE THE PRICE OF RICE FOR CIVIL SERVANTS

The Federal Government has put an end to its intention to charge government servants N40,000 for 50 kg of rice that has been subsidised.

Nevertheless, no explanation was given for the plan’s cancellation, which would undoubtedly leave many civil servants who had signed up for the rice subsidy in the dark.

According to the DAILY POST, the government’s first proposal was revealed by Information Minister Idris Mohammed, who said that the government planned to provide Abuja’s civil servants with 50 kilogramme sacks of rice at a discounted price in an effort to lessen the impact of the present food crisis.
