UAE DENIES BEING AWARE OF NIGERIAN’S (UAE VISA CONDITIONS CLAIMS )
According to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it is not aware that Nigerians must have a $10,000 bank balance and pay an N640,000 application fee in order to be eligible for the visa.
Recall that on Monday, the Federal Government of Nigeria, represented by Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris, declared that the Federal Government and the authorities in the United Arab Emirates had achieved a consensus that would immediately lift travel restrictions placed on Nigerians.
Minister disclosed that bearers of Nigerian passports can now enter the UAE without any problems.
In light of this latest change, the minister advised Nigerians interested in current information on UAE visa requirements to check out documentverificationhub.ae.
This procedure is a specialised service that authenticates and verifies the documents required for UAE visa applications, according to DV Hub.
Each application for the Document Verification Network (DVN) requires a non-refundable payment of N640,000, VAT excluded. This money does not pay for the cost of the visa.
Nigerian nationals applying for a UAE visa must also submit a six-month bank statement with a $10,000 minimum balance.
The UAE’s department of travel and economy, however, told The Cable that the DV hub website is unaffiliated with the country’s government.
When describing the procedure for applying for a visa, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs (GDRFAD) in Dubai stated, “You will need a personal photo and a copy of your passport which must not have less than six months validity.”
Based on the length of stay, a tourist visa might cost between 200 and 300 dirhams (N60,000 and N90,000).
The GDRFAD further stated, “You will also need a travel ticket and valid medical insurance within the UAE.”
