THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SETS TO
ESTABLISH A LIVESTOCK MINISTRY

New ministry dedicated to livestock will be established, according to President Bola Tinubu, as part of attempts to increase the production of meat and dairy products and lessen conflict between farmers and nomadic herders.

At the Renewed Hope Livestock Reform Implementation Committee’s first meeting at the State House in Abuja, the president hinted at the potential establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development.

The Nigerian leader questioned, “Why should Nigeria continue in conflict with the calibre of people that are here, when you have a great opportunity like this?” This offers a special chance to distinguish and create the Ministry of Livestock Development as a distinct ministry.

We’ll grow the economy and provide opportunities for individuals to succeed.

The head of Nigeria continued, “Our veterinarians can provide us with the tools we need to raise, crossbreed and end the needless slaughter; animal feeds is a major industry.
