OLISA AGBAKOBA (A SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA ) WARNS OF A HUNGER RIOT
Olisa Agbakoba, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has warned that a hunger riot may soon break out in Nigeria, urging the federal government to act quickly.
Agbakoba made the announcement on Tuesday while speaking with reporters at his office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
He claimed that tremendous poverty prevented the majority of Nigerians from putting food on their tables.
This, he claimed, occurred despite the country’s vast oil and gas reserves, which he claimed had been hijacked by outsiders. Agbakoba emphasised that Nigeria as a nation should avoid a situation in which the masses are forced to take to the streets due to hunger.
He observed that hungry people may enter people’s homes and shops in broad daylight to steal food.
Agbakoba advised Tinubu to reorganise his cabinet and reduce the expense of government, stating that a hunger riot could break out in Nigeria at any time.
The cabinet must be dismantled by President Tinubu.
More than forty ministers is too much. Twenty ministries or more are not necessary, he declared.
