103 NIGERIAN -TURKEY DEPORTEES ARRIVE HOME

At approximately 6:45 p.m., the Southwind Airlines flight with registration number TC-GRB touched down at the pilgrims’ wing of the airport.

They were welcomed by a number of government organisations upon their arrival, including the Department of State Services (DSS) personnel, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and military personnel.

It’s unclear if they did anything wrong in Turkey to make their deportation necessary.

The irate exilees described their treatment, claiming that the European nation had treated them unfairly. They said that before being deported, they had been held by the Turkish government for more than 11 months.

For this reason, they demanded that the Nigerian government stand up for them and retrieve all of their belongings.
