ELECTED OFFICIALS SHOULD RECEIVE MINIMUM SALARIES AS WELL AS WORKERS -SOLUDO

Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra state, has urged for elected officials to begin receiving a minimum wage in order to draw attention to Nigeria’s dire financial situation.

Soludo underlined that Nigeria is experiencing financial hardship.

Soludo noted that the ostentatious lifestyles of government officials, which are maintained at the price of the country’s wealth, are a contributing factor to Nigeria’s economic troubles.

He emphasised that the existing system is in a state of denial regarding the financial position of the country and suggested that these officials be paid the minimum wage in order to better grasp the terrible
reality experienced by regular
Citizens .

“With Nigerians, let’s be honest and straightforward,
Nigeria is extremely impoverished, yet the way of life of the government and its representatives does not reflect this, particularly when it comes to their outrageous displays of wealth in public, according to Soludo.

“Let’s not make the impoverished more irritated with our insensitivity; they are hungry and impatient. “In this instance, I concur with reverend father Mbaka that elected governors ought to receive the minimum salary as well. I concur that in order for us to experience that as well, we ought to be compensated. Since taking office, I have not received a single kobo as pay in Anambra. My pay has been donated to the state. “It has symbolic meaning. It isn’t very much. I believe that the system is largely delusional.
