The EFCC has handed down indictments against Nigeria’s Ex Aviation Minister,Hadi Sirika and his counterparts; Fatimah (Hadi’s daughter),Jalal Hama and AI-Buraq Global Investment Limited.
EFCC alleged that between 2022 and 2023, that Sirika gave several excessive benefits to some bodies which led to Nigerian’s screwed-up Aviation projects.
In the charges, the EFCC noted that N1.3bn Nigeria Air Start-up Contract was bestowed unto the Tianero Limited by Sirika which is an abuse of office.
In addition to the aforementioned allegations,the EFCC charged that in August 2022,Hadi Sirika awarded an unmerited benefits of (N1.498,300,750.00) to AI-Buraq Global Investment with his counterparts, Fatimah Hadi and his son-inlaw,Halal Hamma. The EFCC said that the contract was for Apron Extension in Katsina Airport and by so doings he breached contacts while he was in office which is against the Law.
The Fraudulent charges summed up to (N2.7bn.)
Meanwhile,Hadi Sirika and his daughter,Fatimah appeared before Justice Oriji Sylvanus in Abuja Federal High Court today (THURSDAY )and were granted a bail of N100 million Naira each.
