I am Ven. George C. Uchendu, a vibrant and dynamic preacher, called to serve as an Evangelist and Missioner in the Anglican Communion. My journey in ministry began humbly—as a Sunday school teacher and sexton. Through dedication and divine guidance, I trained as a Catechist before advancing to theological studies. I earned my Diploma in Theology and later pursued further studies in Evangelism and Mission at the Institute of Strategic Evangelism (I.S.E.), Jos. With a passion for nurturing spiritual and interpersonal growth, I also obtained a Diploma in Interpersonal Human Relationship and Evangelism.
.
My commitment to God’s call led to my ordination first as a Deacon and then as a Priest. I later furthered my education at the Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN), where I obtained both a Bachelor in Divinity and a Bachelor of Arts degree.
.
In recognition of my service and dedication, I was preferred as an Honorary Canon, then a Statutory Canon, and now I serve as a Venerable. Over the years, I have actively ministered in rural missions and evangelism, bringing the Gospel to underserved communities.
.
I have also served as Chaplain to the Boys and Girls Brigade, Lay Readers, and the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (EFAC). I am a staunch member of the Boys Brigade Nigeria, Anglican Communion Brigade (ACB), and the Marc-Corps (Chaplaincy) on Postgraduate level, where I currently hold the rank of Lieutenant (Lt).
.
Presently, I serve as the Archdeacon and Vicar of the Chapel of the Holy Spirit (O.M.G.S.), Umudim Nnewi, in the Diocese of Nnewi. Throughout my ministry, I have remained deeply committed to evangelism, mentorship, and fostering strong interpersonal relationships within the church and wider community.
