Rev’d Canon Udoka Nnanyelu Nwabia was born into the family of Late Mr. Isaiah Achebe and Late Ezinne Josephine Nwaladolu Nwabia on 3rd day of July,1970, the year that marked the end of Nigeria Civil war that took so many lives. He is the fifth Child and the third son of the loving family, born at City Maternity Hospital, Onitsha. He attended Obi Okosi Memorial Primary School, Onitsha and summed it up at Amaeze Primary School, Otuocha in 1981 as a result of a sympathetic fire blaze that took his last Sister (Blessing ). He further attended the then St Charles Special Science School, Onitsha, and gained admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka from where he passed out with second class upper division in Adult Education Administration in 1999. He banged his Master’s degree in Education Administration and Supervision from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in 2005.
Udoka Nnanyelu Nwabia was into business after his secondary education through his tertiary education pursuit when the call for the ministry became inevitable.
In the year 2007 he was admitted into full time ministry — a year before the creation of the Diocese of Mbamili. In 2009 he was sent to St Paul’s Theological Institution, Awka ( Onitsha Center) and was ordained Deacon December, 2011. He was made priest on December, 2012 by His Lordship, the Rt Rev’d Henry Sunday Okechukwu Okeke JP, the then pioneer Bishop of Mbamili Diocese. He was preferred honunary CANON in the year 2020 and collated by His Lordship, the Rt Rev’d Dr Obiora Benard Uzochukwu JP in 2021.
He is blessed with a loving and caring wife, Mrs Ijeoma Blessing Nwabia with a gift of six children including twin babies. To God be all glory and honor.
