I was born on 12th January, 1969 into the family of late Mr Peter Chikakwe & Mrs Nwakunkwo Okafor of Umuariekwesim Umuojo in Umuezeagu village of Obinofia Ndiuno in Ezeagu L. G. A. of Enugu State.
I schooled in Modern Primary School Obinofia Ndiuno from 1978–1981 and in Community Primary School Okija from 1982 –1983. I also went to Okija Grammar School Okija from 1984 –1990.
I started Missionary work as Church Teacher in 1991 at Ebenezer Church Unubi from where I was transferred to St Thomas church Otolo Nnewi in 1994. I worked in St Thomas church Otolo Nnewi for three years before going to Trinity Theological College Umuahia in 1996. I graduated in the year 2000 with Diploma in Theology and B A (Hons) in Religious Studies from University of Nigeria Nsukka.
I was ordained a Deacon in July 2000 and was priested in July 2001. In 2015, I was preferred Canon of the Cathedral by His Grace, Most Rev Prof. G I N Okpala.
I got married to Mrs Patience Uzoma Okafor on 12th Jan. 2002 and the marriage was blessed with five children ( Blessing, Favour, Emmanuel, Samuel and Miracle).
