ADON College of Health Technology in Nnewi, Anambra State, owned and managed by the Nnewi Diocese Of the Anglican Communion.
OUR BRIEF HISTORY:
The idea to build and operate the college was first discussed by the Hospital Board of Governors with Ven. Dr. Maurice Agu as the Hospital Administrator and Professor Mrs. Enweani as Board chairman. The former Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Mr. Willie Obiano chaired the foundation laying ceremony/turning of sod. On 17th February 2019, the Hospital Board revisited the college issue as read from the minutes of that meeting. The Bishop also approved it as read from the minutes of the Diocesan Board meeting held at the Cathedral church of St. Mary, Uruagu Nnewi on Friday 19th March, 2021. The college commenced operation in the month of September 2022. The college is located in the premises of Nnewi Diocesan Hospital, Otolo Nnewi (Along Onitsha-Okigwe highway). The college has received accreditation with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, among other professional bodies to commence activities. Currently, the college boasts of 317 students spread across the four departments. The four departments are: Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW & JCHEW), Pharmacy Technicians, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and Medical Imaging Technicians.
ADON COHT have received various Accreditations currently from the following Professional Bodies:
1.Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria.
2.Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
3.Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
4.Medical X-Ray and Imaging Technology Education and Training Centre of Nigeria.

PROGRAMME: PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA AND CERTIFICATES
ACADEMIC STAFF.
The Admission requirement is 5 credits (science subjects including Maths and English) in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE or it’s equivalent in not more than two sittings.
