About Me

Born on January 17, 1971, Professor Ofokansi obtained his B.Pharm., M. Pharm., and Ph.D degrees from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. In November 2000, he took up a teaching appointment in the Department of Pharmaceutics of his alma mater and rose to the rank of a Professor in October, 2011. Following a post-doctoral Research Fellowship Award in July 2006 by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, he moved over to Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich, Germany in March 2007 where he worked on the development of a gelatin-based nanoparticulate formulation for the delivery of human insulin under the supervision of Prof. G. Winter and Dr. C. Coester before proceeding to the laboratory of Prof. Dr. GertFricker at Ruprechts-Karl University in Heidelberg, Germany where he continued with in vivo experiments using animal models to evaluate the efficacy of his formulations between May 2008 and April 30, 2009. Prof. Ofokansi has more than 70 scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals.Prof. Ofokansi has been an approved supervisor for postgraduate studies in the University of Nigeria since 2006.
