BRIEF PROFILE OF MRS. ANTHONIA IFEOMA AGBO
THE BISHOP’S WIFE ANGLICAN DIOCESE OF NSUKKA
Birth and Parentage:
Mrs. Anthonia Ifeoma Agbo was born in 18th March, 1974 to the family of late Mr. James Nnamani Odo and Mrs. Esther Nnamani all from Neke, in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State. She is the first child from her mother out of eight (8) children.
Education
She started and completed her primary Education in Sept. 1981 – August 1986 at Umuaramu Primary School, Ikem in Isi-Uzo Secondary School Ikem/Neke in 1992, all in Enugu State. From these she attended the Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu in 1999 where she obtained NCE in Igbo-Social Studies in the year 2000.
Thereafter she proceeded to the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka in 2001 where she obtained a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in 2006, and M.Ed in Language Education and now she is currently pursuing another Masters Degree in Igbo Linguistics.
Working Experience:
After her graduation in National Certificate in Education (NCE) in 2000, she got employment with the Post Primary School management Board (PPSMB) Enugu and was posted to Queen of the Rosary Secondary School Nsukka from 2001 – Jan. 2005. In 2005 – 2008 she was posted to community Secondary School, Iheakpu-Awka. Thereafter, she was posted to St. Cyprian’s Special Science School, Nsukka from 2009 – 2015. In 2015, she was posted to Government Technical College, Nguru, Nsukka. Few months later, she was transferred back to St. Cyprian’s Special Science School, Nsukka till date. She has chaired many committees as:
i) Chairman 2012 Inter-House Competition
ii) Chairman 2013 Inter-House Competition
iii) Chairman 2013 Valedictory Service for 2012/2013 Outgoing Students
iv) Chairman 2014 Inter-House Competition
v) Chairman Silver Jubilee Celebration 2012
vi) Chairman Committee on Silver Jubilee Uniform & Current School Uniform of the Students of St. Cyprian’s Special Science School
vii) Chairman Women Wing Christian Association of Nigeria Nsukka Zone from 2008 till date
viii) She also worn the Awards of Honour and Excellence
ix) The overall best teacher of the year in writing lesson Notes and Punctuality between 2001/2004
x) The Award of Young Innovators Forum University of Nigeria Nsukka
Family Life
She is married to Rt. Rev. A. E. Agbo who was ordained in 2001 a priest of the Anglican Communion and was made a Bishop by the special grace of God in the year 2008. The marriage is blessed with four children Gift, AkaJesus and miraculous twins who came in 2019: Emmanuel and Elijah.
