A MODERN CAFETERIA TAKES SHAPE AT NWAFOR ORIZU COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, NSUGBE
In a move aimed at enhancing student welfare and modernizing campus amenities, a state-of-the-art cafeteria is currently under construction at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.
This development is part of a larger infrastructure revitalization drive spearheaded by Governor Chukwuma Soludo to improve the standard of learning environments in tertiary institutions across Anambra State.
The upcoming cafeteria is designed to serve as more than just a food court—it will be a central gathering point for students, staff, and visitors.
With plans for a spacious dining area, proper ventilation, hygienic kitchen facilities, and modern seating arrangements, the cafeteria aims to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for daily meals and informal interactions.
Additionally, the cafeteria is expected to accommodate multiple food vendors, offering local dishes, snacks, beverages, and continental meals to cater to a wide variety of tastes and dietary needs.
This setup will also create opportunities for food entrepreneurs, including student-run services, to operate in a regulated and supportive setting.
POSITIVE RECEPTION
The response from students and staff has been overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it a “much-needed intervention.”
Lecturers have noted that improved nutrition and better dining environments can contribute significantly to student concentration, academic performance, and overall wellbeing.
