I stand before you today with a heart full of purpose, vision, and service. My name is Nwaogu Izuchukwu Simon, a proud student of this noble institution, and I am humbly offering myself to serve as your next Director of Welfare under the Students’ Union Government (SUG).

As students, our wellbeing and comfort on campus go beyond academics. A student who is hungry, sick, stranded, or neglected cannot perform well. That’s why I’m stepping up—to make sure your welfare is not just a word, but a priority.

If elected as your Welfare Director, I pledge to:

✅ Advocate for improved hostel conditions – ensuring better water supply, sanitation, and general maintenance.
✅ Create a responsive Welfare Help Desk – so that no student feels abandoned in times of need.
✅ Push for affordable and quality food options on campus by working with vendors and management.
✅ Strengthen the Health Centre system – to make sure every student gets timely medical attention.
✅ Introduce welfare outreach programs – such as emergency aid, support for stranded students, and hygiene campaigns.

I am not here to make empty promises. I’m here with practical plans, a listening ear, and the passion to make a difference. I believe in welfare with action, not excuses. I believe in service, not position. And most importantly, I believe in you, the students of NOCEN.

Let us join hands to make student welfare a top priority. Let us raise our voices for a more caring, supportive, and united campus. With your support, I will work—not for you—but with you, to bring the change we need.
