The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof Theresa Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, on Thursday, 21st April, 2022, paid a brief familiarization visit to the Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu (ANSPOLY). In her brief remark during the visit, she commended the Council and Management of the Young Polytechnic for their efforts made visible in a lot of Transformation in the Polytechnic and stated that she was in the School for a brief familiarization visit and would schedule another appointment for an expanded tour visit and on the spot inspection of facilities as well as interactions with the Academic Board Members, Staff and Students of ANSPOLY. Speaking further, the Honourable Commissioner informed the ANSPOLY Governing Council that the Executive Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, directed the Council stay action on the search for a new Rector which was ongoing as at the time of the visit. Receiving the Honourable Commissioner, the Ag. Chairman of Council, Prof Eugene-Mary Ifedioramma Nwana, assured that the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of ANSPOLY are happy to welcome her and expressed the readiness to work with the new Administration of Mr. Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, to actualize the goals and agenda of the Government as well as keep alive the Visions and Mission of ANSPOLY. Earlier in her response, the Rector, Dr Nneka C. Mefoh expressed her gratitude to the Honourable Commissioner for the visit, stating that the Only State-owned Polytechnic would always be the pride of the State in the Education sector. On hand to welcome the Honourable Commissioner and her Entourage which included her PA, Engr. Kenechukwu Anigbogu and Others, are the ANSPOLY Governing Council Members led by the Ag. Chairman, Prof. Eugene-Mary Ifedioramma Nwana, the Management led by the Rector, Dr Nneka C. Mecoh and Academic Board Members, including the Polytechnic PRO, Chukwuanu Sunday Okagbue, KSJI, Anipr, FIPMD. Highlight of the Visit included taking of Group Pictures.
